WISHES ALL COME TRUE FOR FERGIE
DESPITE only taking charge at Blackpool on an interim basis, Barry Ferguson made a series of deadline day swoops – and the Scot can’t wait to showcase all of his new stars.
The departure of Tom Ince may be the headline news at Bloomfield Road but Ferguson, who took over from Paul Ince little over a week ago, has made some stories in the transfer market himself.
Former Belgium international Faris Haroun has left Middlesbrough for the Seasiders on a permanent basis to bolster options in midfield.
Ferguson has also snapped up the loan signings of Millwall striker Andy Keogh and versatile defender Tony McMahon, from Sheffield United, until the end of the season.
And according to the 35year-old, it was as simple as handing his transfer wishlist in to chairman Karl Oyston.
“It’s great. I’ve been able to go out and get my own players in,” he said. “I have been able to make my mark on the team. That’s what I’m trying to do.
“The player recruitment has been left to me, and I gave the chairman a list of players I wanted. It’s been an enjoyable week and I’ve loved every minute of it.”
