The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP - By John Hodgson

SHAUN Williams may have been something of a utility man at MK Dons, but Millwall boss Ian Holloway is plotting for his new signing to go on the attack.

The 27-year-old had often been used as a centre-back at stadium:mk before making a permanent switch to the Den last week for an undisclosed fee.

And he is now set to be remoulded once more, with Holloway believing he can be the attacking dynamo his side are in need of as they look to claw their way out of relegation trouble.

Holloway said:“I think he’s a wonderful passer of the ball, he can play in two or three positions but I think he’s an attack-minded midfield player.

“That’s where I want to work with him and hopefully he’ll settle in really quickly.

“Because he’s let his contract run out he’s come into the affordable stage of his career, in an ideal world I’d have loved to take him in the summer but we couldn’t wait for that.

“He chose us over a number of clubs and hopefully that’s through his conversation with me and telling him how I see him playing for us.”
