The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP - By Luke Murray

BENIK Afobe has swapped the opportunity to train alongside a score of Arsenal stars for a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday – and the striker insists he is relishing his latest challenge.

The 20-year-old striker is one of the latest to emerge off Arsenal’s fabled production line but is yet to make his breakthrough at the Emirates.

But he joins an Owls side on an upsurge – finding form in the Championship and still in the FA Cup.

“I know Wednesday are doing well at the moment and I want to come here and help that continue,” said Afobe, who returned from an eightmonth injury last October.

“I’m not cup-tied so hopefully I can help Wednesday continue their run on that front too.

“Obviously being at Arsenal, I’m training with world class players and usually in the Premier League those players – and the other top teams – generally win their games every week.

“But in the Championship it doesn’t seem to work like that, any side is capable of winning on their day and that’s what makes it exciting.”
