The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO -

WITH only one win in each of their last five games, it would come as little surprise to many that both sides struggled to show any real quality throughout.

The weathered condition of Fratton Park’s pitch was never going to help matters, though the endless lobbed balls by both teams made for a dull spectacle.

The home side never seemed comfortable with Torquay’s ever changing formation, which at times saw them playing with four strikers and at other times just one.

Their inability to create any clear opportunities going forward was the main issue for boss Richie Barker.

Torquay, however, appear rejuvenated since Chris Hargreaves took over and the teams above will be looking over their shoulders.
