BOLTON’S new mid­fielder Liam Trotter has shrugged off their re­cent poor form and in­sisted he jumped at the chance to move from Mill­wall.

Trotter is con­fi­dent man­ager Dougie Freed­man can turn things around and get Bolton mov­ing in the right di­rec­tion.

He said: “Bolton are one of the few clubs in this league that sells it­self.

“It’s a very big club that has been in the Premier League for the last few years, and that is where it de­serves to be.

“I thought it was my best chance to get into the Premier League and Dougie sold me the vi­sion of where the club wants to go. It’s a new chal­lenge for me.”
