The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP -

ROVERS will be disappointed with a draw after dominating their South Yorkshire rivals for most of the afternoon.

Paul Dickov’s men, who were without key duo Richie Wellens and Billy Sharp, created the best chances and were worthy of the points. The draw leaves Rovers still in relegation trouble although there is some distance between them and Barnsley.

For Danny Wilson’s Barnsley, it will surely take a miracle for them to get out of trouble this season.

The Tykes have won just one in ten since Wilson came back to the club as manager and seem unable to string a decent set of results together.

They have won just four in 29 attempts this season and although they have games in hand over their opponents, they must surely be favourites for the drop.

It will be a big few weeks for both South Yorkshire strugglers.
