AKPO GETS SOME HELP FROM BRO

The Football League Paper - - NEWS -

AKPO Sodje has been sent to play for his brother to help get him match fit, says Tranmere assistant manager John McMahon.

The 34-year-old striker has gone to Non-League Macclesfield, where brother Efe is assistant manager.

McMahon is hoping it will help Akpo – who has not played for Tranmere since November – find his form.

“Akpo needs to play matches and this move will give him that opportunity,” he said.

“It’s a club he should settle into quickly – with his brother Efe being on the staff – and I wish him the best of luck.”
