LEWIS HAWKINS can be the next Hartlepool player to make a name for himself, according to manager Colin Cooper.

Hawkins replaced League Two apprentice of the year Brad Walker last weekend while Pools have already sold one hot prospect, Jack Baldwin, to Peterborough for £500,000 this season.

“Hawks came on and in whatever position you play him, in and around the midfield, he has some really good quality about him,” he said.

“He is certainly one moving forward that this club will be very proud of in the future.”
