BRENTFORD boss Mark Warburton has warned teenage winger Josh Clarke the hard work starts now after promoting him to the Bees’ first-team squad.

The 19-year-old has been a regular for the U21s and made his senior debut in the Capital One Cup defeat by Derby last August but could play a prominent role in the run-in.

“It is not a decision that is taken quickly,” said Warburton.

“He has done really well and has moved up.

“It’s a big step and the work starts now. He has to justify his place in the dressing room, his fellow professionals will demand it from him.”
