FABIO Borini’s late penalty boosted Sun­der­land’s hopes of sur­vival and de­liv­ered Chelsea’s ti­tle hopes a ma­jor blow.

Borini, on loan from Liver­pool, found the net af­ter Ce­sar Azpilicueta fouled Jozy Alti­dore to in­flict a first ever home Pre­mier League de­feat for Chelsea un­der Jose Mour­inho.

Sa­muel Eto’o had given Chelsea the lead be­fore Con­nor Wick­ham lev­elled and Borini struck the win­ner on 82 min­utes to hand Liver­pool the ad­van­tage in the Pre­mier League ti­tle race.
