RYAN FLYNN brought more joy for happy Sheffield United fans when he ran out to the strains of Making Plans for Nigel over the tannoy.
The wide man, first of manager Nigel Clough’s summer signings this week when he agreed a new twoyear deal, celebrated with a brilliant equaliser for his sev- enth goal of the campaign.
He then made a fine 73rd-minute winner for substitute Ben Davies as the home side clinched a remarkable sev- enth-place finish.
Clough, who took over when United were in the bottom four in bleak October, said: “Ryan’s been doing his defensive duties brilliantly and we wanted a bit more going forward, so it was great that he got his goal.
