BIRMINGHAM City are poised to be sold with the club’s parent company preparing to name their preferred bidder.

Birmingham International Holdings Limited have been in talks with five groups based in Britain, the Middle East, Far East and Australasia.

A board meeting of BIHL in Hong Kong has been held with an announcement to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange imminent.

Birmingham will be sold in tranches over an 18-month to two-year period as Hong Kong Stock Exchange regulations prevent a full immediate sale.

BIHL are looking to offload 25 per cent of the club initially. WATFORD are set to sign the Leicester winger Lloyd Dyer.

The 31-year-old had been expected to stay at Leicester after playing a key role in helping them win promotion.

But he has only been offered a new one-year deal by the Foxes and has rejected that contract.

He has been offered a three-year contract by Watford and is poised for a move to Vicarage Road.
