CARBONE LINKS UP WITH LEEDS
LEEDS have appointed Benito Carbone as a ‘special consultant to the board of directors’ – casting another cloud over the future of boss Brian McDermott.
Carbone, 42, who ended his playing career in 2010, has been given the role by new Leeds owner Massimo Cellino.
A statement read: “The club are delighted to announce that Benito Carbone has joined in a consultant position and will deal with technical and football operations.
“Benito will be involved with all football matters, including both the first team and the academy.”
