FIT AGAIN AND ‘READY TO GO’, ACE MURRAY’S A ROYAL MINT NOW
NEW Reading striker Glenn Murray has assured supporters that he is fully fit after an injury nightmare stretching back to his last stint in the Championship.
The 30-year-old joined Reading on deadline day in a loan deal from Premier League Crystal Palace.
He returned to action in February after a nine-month battle to recover from cruciate knee ligament damage.
“I have 100 per cent confidence in it and I’m ready to go,” said Murray, pictured. “I’ve had things like hernias before, but nothing to the extent of nine months out with an ACL.
“I don’t think it gets any worse than that, but that’s behind me now. All I want to do is play and to score goals. That’s what I enjoy doing. I want to get back to that.
“I’ve come here to score goals. Reading were in the Premier League not long ago. They have a burning ambition to get back there and I do as well.”
