NEW Read­ing striker Glenn Mur­ray has as­sured sup­port­ers that he is fully fit after an in­jury night­mare stretch­ing back to his last stint in the Cham­pi­onship.

The 30-year-old joined Read­ing on dead­line day in a loan deal from Premier League Crys­tal Palace.

He re­turned to ac­tion in Fe­bru­ary after a nine-month bat­tle to re­cover from cru­ci­ate knee lig­a­ment dam­age.

“I have 100 per cent con­fi­dence in it and I’m ready to go,” said Mur­ray, pic­tured. “I’ve had things like her­nias be­fore, but noth­ing to the ex­tent of nine months out with an ACL.

“I don’t think it gets any worse than that, but that’s be­hind me now. All I want to do is play and to score goals. That’s what I en­joy do­ing. I want to get back to that.

“I’ve come here to score goals. Read­ing were in the Premier League not long ago.They have a burn­ing am­bi­tion to get back there and I do as well.”
