POOL SET FOR JOSE GO-AHEAD
BLACKPOOL are finally set to get a work permit for Costa Rican midfielder Jose Miguel Cubero – a month after he arrived from Herediano for £300,000.
Cubero, 27, had not played enough internationals to automatically qualify for a permit.
He is in the USA on international duty and should cut through the red-tape at the British consul in New York with his debut pencilled in for Wolves on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Championship’s bottom club’s off-field strife continued this week with assistant-manager Bart De Roover, the 47-year-old former Royal Antwerp boss, walking away from his non-contract role.
