RYCE STILL SHARP AS A BLADE
NIGEL CLOUGH wants Jamal Campbell-Ryce to be more than just a super-sub after impressing on his full Sheffield United debut.
The 31-year-old spent the first six matches of the season on the periphery of Clough’s squad but was superb after starting the Blades’ 1-1 draw at Preston.
“Jamal has good experience and he knows what it takes to do well in this division,” Clough said. “More importantly, he also has real ability as he’s already shown.
“We want competition. We don’t want there to be any such thing as a guaranteed place because that means everyone knows they’ve got to keep performing.”
