COX: WHY I’M STAGS’ BEST MAN
UNDER-FIRE Paul Cox has brushed off all calls for him to be sacked from his job as Mansfield manager by claiming he is one of the best in the Nottinghamshire club’s history.
The Stags have endured a tough start in League Two but ex-Eastwood Town chief Cox, who was appointed in 2011 and led to the team to the Conference title in 2012-13, remains confident he can take them forward.
“The win ratio of the team is unbelievable,” said Cox, who saw his men suffer JPT defeat at Notts County in midweek. “I think I’m up there with the top managers in the club’s history.
“I have an immense faith in my own ability.”
