BOTH TEAMS WILL BE BUOYED BY DRAW

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO -

THERE may not have been any goals at the Globe Arena but both teams showed why they have enjoyed far more positive starts to the season than many expected.

The first half belonged to unbeaten Cheltenham, who played with confidence as they laid siege to Barry Roche’s goal.

The big keeper pulled off several excellent stops to keep Morecambe on level terms.

Wing-back Craig Braham-Barrett was the Robins main outlet and Morecambe’s Shaun Beeley had his work cut out to contain him.

John Marquis also caused major problems for Jim Bentley’s side but somehow it remained 0-0 at the break.

In the second half Cheltenham’s back three were forced to throw their bodies on the line, which they did admirably to weather the storm and register their fourth clean sheet in six outings.

A point each was a fair outcome and both managers will be encouraged by what their teams served up.
