PHIL’S BINN TAKING TIPS FROM TONY

The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP -

PHIL BROWN says former Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis convinced him to bring Jerome Binnom-Williams to Southend on loan.

The 19-year-old left-back has been brought in for Ben Coker, who has been sidelined for fourth months with an elbow injury. Glowing praise from Pulis swung the deal, according to Brown.

“The downside is that he hasn’t really played League football, but it was Tony Pulis’ recommendation that swung it for me,” said Brown. “He’s 6ft 2in, quick and can run all day.”
