NO LANE, NO GAIN FOR ADAM
OLDHAM captain Adam Lockwood says he is sick of swimming and desperate to get back on the football pitch as his return from injury moves closer.
Lockwood damaged his knee in a pre-season match against Barrow in July and is yet to feature for the first team this season.
The defender, who was appointed club captain during the summer, is close to returning to light training but remains cautious about the injury.
“I’ve had to take weight off my foot so I feel like I’ve turned into an Olympic swimmer,” he said.“I’m hopefully starting on a treadmill next week, so I hope it reacts well to that.”
