ROBINSON’S MK DONS HAVE FIREPOWER NOW

The Football League Paper - - NEIL MELLOR -

MK Dons probably didn’t kick on quite the way Karl Robinson will have wanted last season in terms of getting into the play-off places.

They were a little bit too far off it so you look at it and ask: “What’s different now? ”The answer is that now he has a lot more firepower.

He’s got Will Grigg in as well as Benik Afobe on loan from Arsenal and Dele Alli is scoring goals from midfield. He’s got a really good blend there and I’m sure they will be fighting for promotion.

But MK Dons could have a job on their hands to keep hold of him.The result against Manchester United in the League Cup will have got his name bandied about even more.

The style of football he demands is entertaining to watch. I know him well and he’s got great ideas on the game. He’s got a great chance of going very far in his career.
