LONDON PRIDE FOR HEMMINGS
DAGENHAM & Redbridge’s Ashley Hemmings says he feels like a fully-fledged Londoner again having returned to the capital 16 years after his initial departure.
The former Wolves and Walsall player has appeared 13 times this season for Wayne Burnett’s men, having previously spent the majority of his career in the Midlands.
But the 23-year-old, who moved north with his family as a child, said: “I have found it good, I get on great with the boys and the staff.
“I left London when I was seven and it’s a bit mad being back, but it’s been good and I’ve had the chance to meet up with a few family members.”
