ANDRE HAS MORE TO OFFER – WARBO
ANDRE Gray’s impressive performances saw him named the Championship’s player of the month for November, but Brentford boss Mark Warburton says the striker is yet to reach his peak.
The ex-Luton forward notched five goals last month to launch Brentford into the promotion race.
Warburton says teams will have to pay a pretty penny if they want to prise the 23year-old from Griffin Park and claims the award is no more than Gray deserves.
“There’s a lot more to come from Andre, and it will be the first of many awards for him,” he said.
“Andre is raw, powerful, quick and works the channels – the award will be a massive boost for him as a player and is testament to his hard work.
“I'm sure the vultures will be circling, but any prey that leaves the club leaves on our terms and no other terms.”
The Bees’ five wins from five during November also earned Warburton the division’s manager of the month award, but he was quick to deflect the credit.
“These are team awards and are testament to everyone’s hard work,” he added.
“If we are building more shelves for them at the end of the season, we will be in a good place.”
