ANTONIO TO WING IT OVER GOAL BID
MICHAIL Antonio is just as keen to provide more assists for his Nottingham Forest team-mates as he is to score himself - and he’s eager to add to both tallies in the coming weeks.
Since his £1.5million summer move from Sheffield Wednesday, the 24-year-old has lit up the City Ground, and his link-up play with Britt Assombalonga has been a key reason for Forest’s strong start to the season.
The free-scoring winger has already surpassed his single-season scoring record before the halfway point of this campaign with ten, and he’s hungry for more.
“I haven’t set any real targets, I just want to take them as they come,” he said. “If I score, I just say to myself ‘that’s another one on the tally’.
“I like getting the assists as well, and I want to get more of those because I know they are important to the side.
“Hopefully I can add to that tally as well, because it is a big part of my game.
“Britt is a massive influence on me. He gets goals and you will always miss him when he is not in the side. He is a player you always want to play with.”
