HEWITT’S HEADING FORWARD
ALTHOUGH Elliott Hewitt has been plying his trade at right-back this season, Colchester United boss Tony Humes sees a more attacking role in store.
The U’s have extended Hewitt’s loan from Ipswich by a month – meaning the 20year-old will stay at the club until mid-January.
And Humes wants to make the most of the Welshman’s aggressive instincts during that time.
“Playing Elliott a little bit more advanced is something that we’ve looked at,” said Humes.
“He’s a very attack-minded player and it’s something that we would consider.
“He still has a lot of learning to do but he’s improving the defensive side of his game week by week.”
