RAKISH WINS POOLS WORKING WITH HAREWOOD
RAKISH Bingham admits he is relishing working alongside Marlon Harewood, with the young Hartlepool striker eager to soak up every bit of the veteran’s knowledge.
The 21-year-old arrived at Pools on a season-long loan from Mans- field in January, scoring on his second appearance as Cheltenham were beaten 2-0.
But it isn’t just with game time that Bingham is profiting from his loan spell, it is also the fact he gets to train with 35-year-old Hare- wood, a striker with Premier League experience at the likes of West Ham and Aston Villa.
“It is a great thing to be playing alongside and training with Marlon Harewood, someone who has great experience,” Bingham said. “There is no better way. “He has played at the highest level, the Premier League, for a number of years and I just want to learn from him while I am here.
“It has been a privilege for me and the other strikers to work with him. He tells us how to do things and how to make life easier as a striker, things that we wouldn’t necessarily know.
“There is more competition for places than there was before but there is no negative energy at all.”
