CLOUGH LOOKS LIKE A STAR ON THE RISE
WHAT a week for teenage starlets. After Che Adams’ heroics against Spurs, step forward Zach Clough, the latest youngster to prove that if you’re good enough, you’re old enough.
Official stats are lacking, but the 19-year-old looks about 5ft 6ins and so slight that his shirt hangs loose. But what he lacks in stature he makes up for in technique and composure – his finishing was top drawer and all the more impressive given that this was his league debut.
Bolton may be down to the bare bones but with reserves like Clough, they’ve got nothing to worry about.
Wolves got away with this one. Jackett has spoken before of how his side are excellent until the final third and this was another example.
Though neat, tidy and well-drilled at the back, the men from Molineux are perhaps a striker and a creative midfielder short of being a genuine top-six side, despite being in with a shot of the play-offs.
