CRYSTAL Palace are lining up a late £2m bid for Bolton’s South Korean international playmaker Lee ChungYong.

Bolton boss Neil Lennon has confirmed the interest in midfielder Chung-Yong, 26, who could leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season when he is out of contract.

Lennon said:“It was been well documented that Crystal Palace have shown an interest but there has no bid for him yet.”

Italian club Palermo are also thought to be interested in the midfielder to replace Juan Cuadrado if he leaves for Chelsea, while Stoke are also understood to be keen.

Chung-Yong is currently sidelined by a leg injury that he suffered while playing at the Asia Cup but he should be back in action next week.

“It would be great to have him available for the FA Cup replay against Liverpool but I can’t predict what will happen before then,” added Lennon.
