LAN­CASHIRE po­lice are in talks with Black­burn Rovers and Stoke City over the num­ber of away fans al­lowed into Ewood Park for next Satur­day’s FA Cup fifth round clash.

Stoke have sold out their en­tire al­lo­ca­tion of 4,100 tick­ets and re­quested an in­crease for the tie.

But su­per­in­ten­dent Ju­lian Platt said: “The polic­ing pri­or­ity for us is sim­ple: to en­sure the safety of the sup­port­ers and of those in­volved in the game, and a de­ci­sion will be made based upon th­ese fac­tors.”
