Rockin’ Robins on the board!

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO -

THEIR current league position may not back it up, but in the eyes of fan Murry Thomas, Cheltenham Town are ad-fab!

In an attempt to drive more fans to Whaddon Road, Robins supporter Thomas came up with an innovative idea after League Two rivals Cambridge held Premier League giants Manchester United to a goalless draw at the Abbey Stadium.

Thomas reckoned that result – coupled with his favourites’ 2-1 win on their trip to East Anglia last October – meant that Cheltenham are superior to the Red Devils.

Now everybody in the Cotswolds town knows about it after fellow supporters pledged £650 towards the cost of putting up a billboard close to the ground.

Another advert is being designed to feature in the upcoming fixture list as Cheltenham look to get more fans in the ground as they battle to avoid dropping through the Football League trapdoor into the Conference.
