HERY SO HAPPY IN ROCHDALE

The Football League Paper - - NEWS -

BAD-MOUTHING a town you have just moved to is not usually the best way to endear yourself to the locals, but for Bastien Hery it earned him a tour of Rochdale.

The French midfielder, 22, says comments in which he allegedly called the town a “dump” were wrongly translated and was quick to make amends when Rochdale councillor Janet Emsley showed him the sights.

“I really enjoyed seeing the buildings, both the old and the new, as they are very impressive,” said Hery.“I would never say anything bad about Rochdale – before last week I did not even know what the word ‘dump’ meant.”
