HOME-TOWN hero Liam Sercombe admitted no-one was more surprised to hear he had notched up 250 games for Exeter City than himself.

The midfielder has managed the milestone at just 24 years old, and says it is still a dream come true every time he pulls on the jersey for the Grecians.

“When I was at school all I wanted to do was play for Exeter City,” he said.“I started when I was an under-12 and have been turning out for the club pretty much every week since.

“So to have reached 250 appearances, at the age of just 24, is something I’m very proud of. It’s quite a landmark.”
