OLDHAM boss Lee Johnson admits it’s flattering Barnsley are reportedly fluttering their eyelashes at him – but his loyalty to the Latics remains firm.

Johnson, 33, is among the bookies’ favourites to join the Tykes, who dismissed Danny Wilson after a home defeat to Fleetwood Town earlier this month.

But Johnson said: “If you go on a night out and three girls take a shine to you, it’s flattering,” he said. “But you might have been married ten years so it doesn’t mean you’re going to bat an eyelid.

“I’m really happy here. It’s a great club but of course any interest is flattering whether it’s Barnsley, Manchester United or Brackley.

“But my focus has always remained on the team, as it always will.”

Elsewhere, Swindon turned down an approach by the Tykes for their manager Mark Cooper earlier this week, who insists he has unfinished business at the County Ground.
