CARL OUT TO PROVE HIS VALUE
PORT VALE captain Carl Dickinson insists he’s had to block out the boo-boys after his recent form was called into question.
Vale beat Walsall last week to end a four-match winless streak, in which Dickinson set up Tom Pope’s winner – and now he is hoping to build on that.
“I wouldn’t like to say it affects me,” said the 27-yearold defender. “I just like to prove people wrong.
“It’s not nice when people are saying stuff, but it is one of those things. People work their backsides off all week and pay good money to come to watch you.
“If they don’t think you are doing well then they have every right to say so.”
