HOWE: THE CHERRIES ARE NOT DIVERS

BOURNEMOUTH not only failed to take advantage of an off day for the sides at the top of the Championship, but they were also caught up in a dive storm.

Striker Yann Kermorgant and substi- tute Ryan Fraser were both yellow carded for simulation by Premier League referee Mike Dean.

Cherries manager Eddie Howe denied his team are divers – and had a pop at the performance of the 46-year-old official.

He said: “The second one, the foul of Fraser, was a penalty. I don’t think the referee helped, he’s very experienced but didn’t handle the game particularly well.

“The players are as honest as the day is long and although I didn’t see Yann’s yellow card, I know he is not that kind of player.

“We are usually more ruthless and in the second half we did enough to win two matches. My only criticism is the way we chased the game, our decision making with ten minutes to go wasn't good.”
