MILLWALL boss Ian Holloway admits getting Nicky Bailey back from injury would be like getting a brand new signing for the club – but still cannot put a time-frame on the midfielder’s return.

The 30-year-old was instrumental as Millwall avoided the drop last term, but has been sidelined since September with a troublesome calf injury.

However Bailey was back for the under-21s as they beat Bristol City 7-3 last week.

Holloway said: “He’s a fantastic bloke and I really believe we wouldn’t still be in the Championship if it wasn’t for him.

“Hopefully I can get him fit for a few games later on. We shouldn’t be promising things but that would be like signing another player.

“When we get him to 90 minutes for the under-21s, then he should be ready to come back in. We’ve been very careful with him.”
