LIAM KELLY – The Oldham Athletic midfielder chooses his favourite XI, made up from players he has played with in his football career.
Cammy Bell – Rangers Cammy is probably the best player I’ve played with or against. I played with him for four-and-ahalf seasons at Kilmarnock. He’s injured at the moment but he’s a fantastic keeper and has been going away with Scotland quite a bit.
James Fowler – Queen of the South James was club captain the whole time I was at Kilmarnock. He’s manager of Queen of the South now. He had all the hallmarks of becoming a great manager, though is yet to hang up his boots.
James Wilson – Oldham Athletic He’s probably one of the most athletic centre-halves in the league. He’s never going to get done for pace at the back. He’s commanding in the air and his general athleticism gives him the upper hand.
Joseph Mills – Oldham Athletic I’d have to say that Joseph is the best left-back I’ve played with, but he will have to move into the middle to squeeze into my team. He’s been fantastic all season, he’s up and down the wing all the time. I’m sure he’s got a great career ahead of him.
James Forrest – Celtic He’s a fantastic player. He’s very deceiving, because you see him and he’s just like a stocky little kid. He’s got no neck on him! I remember one night we played Holland Under-21s away from home and he tore them apart.
Darren Fletcher – West Brom I played with him in the Scotland team and he was a brilliant influence in the middle. He achieved so much in the game at Manchester United. He’s had health problems lately, so it’s good to see him back playing and hopefully those troubles are behind him.
Craig Bryson – Derby County He’s a box-to-box midfielder. His energy and work-rate is unbelievable. He’s probably the fittest player I’ve ever played with. Playing with him at Kilmarnock was great because he does a lot of the leg work for you! He’s made a big contribution at Derby.
Lee Johnson – Retired I’ll go for the manager, so I can keep in his good books! We played as a sort of partnership and got good results. He was a streetwise player, clever and very good at keeping possession. He was an intelligent player and that’s why he’s gone on to do well as a manager.
Johnny Russell – Derby County I played with him in the Scotland U21s for quite a while. He’s quite a stocky player and very good at carrying the ball. He’s always had a great goal record as well, he’ll always pop up in the box and get a few goals. He makes a decent contribution to the Derby team.
Jordan Rhodes – Blackburn Rovers Everyone knows about him, but not many know how to stop him. He’s got a fantastic goalscoring record in League One and the Championship and in the Scotland U21s he scored about nine goals in as many games for us.
Sam Baldock – Brighton Another player whose record speaks for itself and I expect him to do at Brighton what he has done for years in League One. He was the top goalscorer at Bristol City last season. His finishing is first class.
