BONNE BIDS TO IMPRESS
MACAULEY Bonne has vowed to live up to his star billing after signing a contract extension to stay with Colchester United until 2017.
The 19-year-old Zimbabwean forward has been touted as one of the brightest talents to come out of the U’s academy since moving from Norwich City in 2009.
And a string of impressive performances this term were capped off with his first senior goal in the shock 3-2 victory against League One tabletoppers Bristol City last weekend.
Bonne said :“I am really pleased to have signed my new contract.
“It has been a big year for me since I broke into the first team.
“I am hoping to earn a place on a more regular basis in the next couple of years and to keep on scoring goals for the team.”
