STRIKER Jake Hyde believes York City are better suited to playing attacking football away from home than at Bootham Crescent.

The Minstermen are the lowest scorers at home in the division with 12 goals in 17 games, and have drawn a blank in four of their last six in front of their own fans.

Hyde says it is due to feeling less pressure while on the road.

“We can open people up when we have a bit of space and we break at pace,” said the 24-year-old.

“We also like to move the ball quickly and the away pitches are slightly better than ours and enable us to do that easier. There’s a bit more pressure at home.”
