POLICE MAKE ARRESTS AFTER WATFORD FAN ATTACK
THREE people have been arrested by West Midlands Police following an attack on a Watford fan after last weekend’s draw with Wolves.
Nick Cruwys, 44, was put into an induced coma after being tripped and kicked in the head as he made his way to the train station following the 2-2 draw.
An 18-year-old man was arrested at 3.30am on Thursday. Another 18year-old and a 13-year-old have already been arrested and released on bail.
The Wolverhampton Express & Star has offered a £1,000 reward to anyone who gives information that leads to a conviction, while an online fundraising campaign for father-oftwo Cruwys has accumulated more than £25,000 in donations.
Detective chief inspector Chris Hanson said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank people for providing information and I am now appealing to anyone else involved in this incident to come forward.
“My team of detectives are determined to trace everyone that was involved, they will identify you, they will get you, and they will knock on your door. Do the right thing, think of this family man with young children and come forward.”
