FRAMPTON FORCED TO RETIRE
AFC Wimbledon defender Andy Frampton admits he is devastated to be retiring.
The 35-year-old underwent surgery on a broken ankle in January but has decided to hang up his boots with immediate effect after failing to regain fitness.
Frampton joined the Dons in 2013. He also played for Crystal Palace, Brentford, Millwall and Gillingham.
“I’m gutted, but it’s a decision I’ve made with my family and I believe it’s the right time,” he said.“It’s been a privilege to be one of those people lucky enough to have played football for a living.”
