MULDOON MOVES TO AID GILLS
GILLINGHAM boss Justin Edinburgh has strengthened his midfield with the signing of Charlton youngster Oliver Muldoon.
The 20-year-old joined the Gills on loan until the end of the season just hours after signing a new contract keeping him at the Valley until 2017.
And Edinburgh believes Muldoon is just what he needs for the final ten games of the season.
Edinburgh said: “I’m pleased to have Oliver on board, he will give us another option in the centre of midfield and has a good range of passing.”
Muldoon wasn’t the only bit of business wrapped up at Priestfield Stadium as striker Cody McDonald also signed a new deal until the summer of 2017.
McDonald has banged in over 60 goals in three different spells for the Gills, and he said: “I’m massively happy. It was never really in doubt and I’m pleased it’s all done.
“I’ve always produced my best football here and I enjoy playing here. It’s worked out well for the first two years and hopefully in the second two I can continue to improve.”
