March 15, 1952: Work­ing­ton and Work­ing­ton Rugby Club, who use the same ground, have a match on the same day.The foot­ball club lose 1-0 to Old­ham in the early af­ter­noon in front of 5,000.The pitch is re­marked and the rugby club beat Warrington 14-0 with a crowd of 20,000. March 16, 1938: QPR of­fi­cials turn up at WBA player Alf Rid­yard’s farm to sign him be­fore trans­fer dead­line but have to wait while he fin­ishes milk­ing his cows! March 17, 2007: Wayne Hen­nessey, a Stock­port goal­keeper on loan from Wolves, con­cedes his first goal in ten games (834 min­utes) v Hartle­pool, con­ced­ing three in a 3-3 draw. March 18, 1977: Lin­coln City’s match v Wrex­ham draws a crowd of 7,753. The match be­tween the two sides ear­lier in the sea­son drew ex­actly the same at­ten­dance. March 19, 1975: Rus­sell Os­man plays for Eng­land school­boys v Wales school­boys in an in­ter­na­tional Rugby Union match in the morn­ing and then for Ip­swich youth v Ar­se­nal youth at foot­ball in the evening. March 20, 1976: As­ton Villa de­fender Chris Ni­choll scores all four goals in a 2-2 draw v Le­ices­ter City. March 21, 1993: AC Mi­lan are beaten 1-0 by Parma, their first de­feat in 58 games.
