March 15, 1952: Workington and Workington Rugby Club, who use the same ground, have a match on the same day.The football club lose 1-0 to Oldham in the early afternoon in front of 5,000.The pitch is remarked and the rugby club beat Warrington 14-0 with a crowd of 20,000. March 16, 1938: QPR officials turn up at WBA player Alf Ridyard’s farm to sign him before transfer deadline but have to wait while he finishes milking his cows! March 17, 2007: Wayne Hennessey, a Stockport goalkeeper on loan from Wolves, concedes his first goal in ten games (834 minutes) v Hartlepool, conceding three in a 3-3 draw. March 18, 1977: Lincoln City’s match v Wrexham draws a crowd of 7,753. The match between the two sides earlier in the season drew exactly the same attendance. March 19, 1975: Russell Osman plays for England schoolboys v Wales schoolboys in an international Rugby Union match in the morning and then for Ipswich youth v Arsenal youth at football in the evening. March 20, 1976: Aston Villa defender Chris Nicholl scores all four goals in a 2-2 draw v Leicester City. March 21, 1993: AC Milan are beaten 1-0 by Parma, their first defeat in 58 games.
