‘LEADER’ GERRARD TO LATICS
WHILE Steven Gerrard tries to steer Liverpool to glory in his swansong year, Oldham are hoping success runs in the family after signing the former England international’s cousin Anthony on loan.
The 29-year-old had made only one start for Huddersfield this season before joining the Latics this week.
And with the centre-back out of contract at the end of the campaign, he is unlikely to return to the Terriers.
“Anthony is a player we have tracked for a couple of weeks now,” said Oldham caretaker Dean Holden.
“He is a natural leader with a good pedigree and most importantly he is a winner.”
