The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO - By Jamie Holt

CHELTENHAM boss Russell Milton doesn’t want his players focusing on the table, insisting he will do the worrying for them.

Going into Saturday’s game against Exeter, the Robins were in the relegation zone, albeit on goal difference.

And Milton says his side should forget about the mathematics and instead start enjoying their football again.

He said:“I’ve told them from day one that it’s my job to do the worrying, I would love it if they didn’t look at the league table at all.

“I want them to look at the form table as that’s the thing we can sort.We can’t do anything about the 30-odd games that happened before I took charge.

“I’ve said to the lads all along that they only have to worry about the next thing they do.

“It’s about focusing on your next pass, your next run, your next tackle. If you do that well, then we’ll be okay.

“They were disappointed the other day but when you come away from Newport and Portsmouth disappointed only with a draw that shows how far we have come in the past few weeks.”
