JUST LUKE AT WHAT WE HAVE DONE...

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE ONE -

MIDFIELDER Luke Howell has blasted the knockers who tipped Dagenham & Redbridge as ‘relegation favourites’ in pre-season.

The Daggers are currently safe in mid-table, with the danger of dropping out of the Football League now looking remote.

And Wayne Burnett’s troops are eager to finish the season with a flourish

“I think we’re always one of the favourites to go down. To be honest, I don’t know what they’re basing it on as we finished ninth last season,” said the 28-yearold.

“With the group of players we’ve had over the years, we’ve always felt that we can finish higher.”

Howell has been shifted from his usual position in the centre of midfield to the right-hand side in recent games but has no complaints.

“I’m still enjoying it out on the right wing, I feel as though I’m learning to play a different role,” he added.

“As long as I’m playing and the team is doing well I’m happy to be out there.”
