Don’t worry, Roy, it’s all change at Stanley
ENGLAND boss Roy Hodgson is going to be delighted to hear that Accrington Stanley fans are raising money for new changing rooms!
Back in 2010, then-Fulham boss Hodgson had one look at the dressing rooms and took his team back to change at the nearby Dunkenhalgh Hotel where they were staying.
But now the Accrington Stanley Official Supporters’ Club is selling £5 raffle tickets to be drawn at a Saturday home game in October 2015 in a bid to stump up the £25,000 needed to re-build and refurbish the changing block at the Store First Stadium.
Meanwhile, Stanley boss and former teacher John Coleman, skipper Luke Joyce and defender Nicky Hunt answered questions from pupils at a press conference with a difference at the local Huncoat Primary School.
Eight of the pupils, including three from the club’s academy, will represent Accrington Stanley at Wembley before the playoff final in May.
