I WANT TO FINISH JOB – MURRAY

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE ONE -

THE FOOTBALL League’s youngest manager Adam Murray has reaffirmed his commitment to Mansfield, after last week declaring himself “ashamed” to have represented a “gutless” team.

The 33-year-old said last weekend’s 4-1 home defeat to York was the “lowest point” of his tenure, hinting that he may leave Field Mill in the summer. But now he’s in more upbeat mood.

“It’s through these tough times when you learn about yourself and the environment you’re in,” he said.

“I’m positive about the future. It’s a project that I’ve always said will take time and will need a lot of work.

“I know we’ll be successful and I’m looking forward to doing that next year.”
