DEFENCE EARNS SKY BLUES POINT
IT MAY not have been the way Bristol City wanted to clinch the League One title, but put that down to a fine effort from wellorganised Coventry.
Visiting goalkeeper Lee Burge did not have a save of note to make, thanks largely to the efforts of outstanding Coventry centre-backs Reda Johnson and Matt Pennington.
Johnson’s one indiscretion saw him fortunate not to concede a penalty for a clumsy challenge on Kieran Agard just before the break.
Other than that, the powerful defender edged a fascinating battle with 21-goal Aaron Wilbraham, while Pennington helped subdue the energetic Agard. At the final whistle Bristol City celebrated a title success few could begrudge them, having led the way for almost all of the campaign.
