WE’LL BE RUTHLESS, SAYS LEE
BARNSLEY boss Lee Johnson has warned his players that the Tykes are going to be ‘ruthless’ in lining up players for next term.
Johnson, 33, took over from Danny Wilson in February after leaving Oldham and enjoyed a successful start. But Barnsley’s play-off challenge has faded away in recent weeks after a run of poor results.
Johnson said: “We’re actually going to be quite ruthless with our recruitment for next season.
“There’s a lot of good players in the market, so we’re not going to leave any offers open for too long. Over the next week to ten days we’re going to look at contracts and new players.”
